Registration
For matriculated students| For Continuing Education/Non-Degree Students
For Matriculated Students:
Registration
for courses in spring and fall semesters for current matriculated
students in the School of Education will be posted and
you will register on the BU
Brain each semester. Registration typically takes place
mid-semester for the following semester. Everyone is urged
to meet with their advisor and register for courses promptly
when the registration system is turned on (for approximately
one month only) to avoid being closed out of courses.
Registration for summer courses is done in a different manner. Click here, Summer Session or look on the University's main webpage. Summer Session information is usually available toward the end of December or early January. Registration for summer courses typically takes place in early March.
Students who have just matriculated into a degree program with the School of Education (brand new to the University), will contact staff in the main office of the school in Academic Building B, Room 230, or call (607) 777-2727, for information about registration. There are mandatory forms that need to be submitted to various offices before registration for courses begins.
If you have any questions about registering for School of Education courses, call the main office at (607) 777-2727.
For Continuing Education/Non-Degree Students:
Registration
for courses in spring and fall semesters for continuing
education/non-degree students in the School of Education
begins on the Tuesday BEFORE classes begin (typically almost
one week before classes begin). Registration is by e-mail
beginning at 7 a.m. (not before) to Joy Tassey
(jtassey@binghamton.edu). In
your e-mail, submit complete name, last four digits of
your social security number and your choice of courses
(or degree program choice). List several courses in order
of preference in case some courses are closed, and note
clearly how many courses you wish to register for. Be
sure to apply to the University as a continuing
education/non-degree graduate student well BEFORE
registering for courses:
Registration for summer semester is the same as mentioned above. You have the same priority in the summer as degree students.
If you have any questions, call the main office at (607) 777-2727.
