Both facilities have seen steady use by our students. At the end of the fall 2001 semester, 2,893 students called the grades telephone line and more than 85,000 hits were recorded on the BUSI Web Center My Grades and Credits option. In April, 2002, the Registrar’s Office conducted a survey of our students to find out how students access their grades. Seventy-eight percent of the respondents said they find out their official course grades before receiving a printed grade report. Of those, 61 percent rely on BUSI, 16 percent on the telephone and another 8 percent on a combination of the two.
The advantage of the grades telephone line and the BUSI Web Center is that you can get your final course grades in a secure environment within 24 hours of the instructor submitting the grades to the Registrar’s Office, from anywhere you have access to the Internet or a telephone. You can print the grades screen in BUSI to keep for your own records.
The online and telephone services also represent the most cost-effective way to deliver information to you. These services will replace the mailed grade reports.
The Registrar’s Office will continue to offer hard-copy transcripts and certifications of enrollment to students upon request for no charge. Students who must have a printed grade report can get one by mailing or faxing (not e-mailing) a request to the Registrar's Office.
